In collaboration with Le Dimore del Quartetto and the Vivancos Quartet, FAME’S Institute successfully hosted the second phase of the quartet residency, which took place from November 29 to December 2 at FAME’S Studio.
During the four-day residency, the Vivancos Quartet worked intensively at FAME’S Institute, focusing on both professional recording sessions and in-depth rehearsal work. The ensemble recorded Dmitri Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8, dedicating each day to detailed studio sessions in close collaboration with FAME’S sound engineers.
The mornings were devoted to recording in the professional studio environment, where the quartet refined balance, articulation, and ensemble precision. In the afternoons, the musicians continued their work through focused rehearsals, preparing the repertoire and developing their interpretation as part of the residency process.
This second phase of the residency represented a highly successful and inspiring collaboration, combining artistic excellence, professional recording practice, and international partnership. The project highlighted the shared commitment of FAME’S Institute, Le Dimore del Quartetto, and the Vivancos Quartet to supporting emerging ensembles and fostering high-level chamber music production.
