PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The FAME’S Institute two-week Orchestral Course combines classical performance traditions with advanced recording techniques.
This program is designed for musicians seeking to refine their performance and recording expertise in a professional setting.

PART 1: Classical Music
Beethoven Celebration with Roman Simovic

Immerse yourself in the timeless works of Ludwig van Beethoven under the mentorship of Roman Simovic, internationally renowned violinist and concertmaster of the
London Symphony Orchestra (LSO). This week focuses on enhancing orchestral performance skills through in-depth rehearsals and mentorship.

Participants will perform:

• Beethoven’s Violin Concerto
• Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92

Closing concert: Philharmonic Hall in Skopje on April 29th.

PART 2: Recording
The Art of Recording for Film & Media

The ‘Recording’ Course is designed to give musicians real-life experience, collaborating with media composers from Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) and recording original soundtracks in professional studio environment.

• Work closely with media composers to bring their original film scores to life.
• Record soundtracks for animation films in a professional studio environment.
• Learn the ins and outs of producing professional-level performances under tight deadlines.

Guided by expert recording engineers and conductors, participants will acquire practical knowledge in:

• Recording techniques
• Music theory for film scoring
• Professional studio collaboration

This week emphasizes the development of technical and artistic skills essential for thriving in today’s music and recording industry.

MENTOR / VIOLINIST: Classical Music Orchestral Course

Roman Simović, leader of the London Symphony Orchestra, has performed on renowned stages worldwide, including the Barbican and Rudolfinum. A prizewinner of competitions like Wieniawski and Sion-Valais, he has played with top orchestras under conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Antonio Pappano. As an educator and recording artist, he released 24 Caprices by Paganini (LSO Live) in 2018. Simović plays a 1709 Antonio Stradivari violin, from Jonathan Moulds.

MENTOR: Recording Orchestral Course

Kaveh Vares, next to being a composer, is the Artistic Director of the Composing for Film Master's Program at the ‘Conservatory of Amsterdam’. He teaches sound design and develops courses and workshops about sound and music for young filmmakers in the Netherlands Film Academy.
