Seminar 12: Part Two | Commence

In the second week of the course, students will focus on the connection between classical music and film music through daily rehearsals and workshops.

They will work on pieces by composers such as Felix Mendelssohn, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Sergei Prokofiev, Dario Marianelli, Pietro Mascagni, John Williams, Ennio Morricone, and George Gershwin.

The rehearsals will be led by conductor Eric Hansen, together with mentor violin Miranda Allen, and will also feature violin soloist Jordi Prim Roma.

The week will also include a special lecture, “Behind the Career: Real Talk About Life in the Profession,” offering students the chance to openly discuss auditions, mindset, rejection, touring, and building a career in music.

The course will end with a final public concert in Bitola on May 4th, where the students will perform selected works.

Co-funded by the European Union and Creative Europe.
