open call for seminar #5 ‘Recording & Film Music’ 10-day Orchestral Course

The Call for the Seminar #5 for ‘Recording & Film Music’ 10-day Orchestral Course is now OPEN (4th – 14th of April)!

The April ‘Recording & Film Music’ Orchestral Course offers our students an opportunity to engage in real-world collaboration with film music, contemporary and classical music composers. Our students will gain practical experiences by working together with the composers and a professional team at @famesproject recording studio, developing an understanding of delivering professional-level performances.

The first part of this Course will include recording workshops. This project will focus on supporting young artists in the EU, particularly today’s emerging female composers, promoting gender equality in the music industry. The goal is to unite our young skilled students with young skilled composers from diverse cultural backgrounds. The repertoire will be recorded to deliver a final professional product for dissemination.

The second part of the Course will give our students real life experience of collaborating with young film music composers in bringing original music written for film to life, understanding the requirements of producing professional level performances under a tight deadline. This Course will be led by Alastair King, an orchestrator, composer and conductor, who regularly works on major film and TV projects in both the UK and Hollywood. He has contributed to over 100 films, TV shows, and video game projects, including “Shrek”, “Wonder Woman”, “Harry Potter”, “The Martian”, “Downton Abbey”, “Chicken Run”, and “Doctor Who”.

The Program offers a FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP to the selected participants!
