Today marks the official start of the Seminar #6 with ‘Hybrid Music’ Orchestral Course, led by conductor Conrad van Alphen @conradvanalphen, alongside the innovative Dutch Saxophone Quartet ‘Artvark’ @artvarksaxophonequartet, who will be working with the students on understanding the demands of delivering professional-quality performances, and meeting strict deadlines, while living and rehearsing in our state-of-the-art studio @famesproject.
The 1-week-long Course offers our students a unique opportunity to explore a fusion of genres, finishing with a Concert finale on the 6th of July at Suli An, Old Bazaar as part of the Skopje Summer Festival 2024 @skopskoleto where the orchestra will perform an original Artvark composition that belongs to the jazz genre.
Besides the compositions written by Artvark’s musicians, the orchestra will perform Nino Rota’s Concerto for Strings.
