This April, young musicians from all across Europe gathered in Skopje, North Macedonia to partake in FAME’S Institute’s Classical & Recording Orchestral Course. This marks the Institute’s 8th Seminar. It lasted two weeks.
During Week 1, the participants dove deeply in Beethoven’s timeless oeuvre, guided by Roman Simovic – concertmaster for the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO). At the end of the week, on April 29th, they performed Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Symphony Nr. 7 at Skopje’s Philharmonic Hall.
During Week 2, they shifted from live performance to the insides of a recording studio. Accompanied by the Conservatorim van Amsterdam (CvA), participants worked side by side with various media composers, recording original film scores in a professional studio setting.
From live performance to soundtrack production, this seminar helped shape tomorrow’s orchestra leaders about the value and meaning of working as a professional musician.
