The second part of the ‘Recording & Carte Blanche’ Orchestral Course (11th – 24th of May) will provide insight into the world of music production for Media, will help prepare students to create and maintain a workflow with trade-typical production elements. The Course will be led by Diane Louie, leader of the Hip Hop Orchestra for The Harmony Project, an award-winning research-based program that targets at-risk youth in Los Angeles.
Diane Louie is a composer/lyricist and classically trained conductor who has worked with some of the most recognized names, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Hampton, Snoop Dogg, Tony Bennett, Dolly Parton, Nancy Wilson, Bob Dylan, Placido Domingo, Christina Aguilera and many more.
She led the Hip Hop Orchestra for The Harmony Project, an award-winning research-based program that targets at-risk youth in underserved areas of Los Angeles. This program has been recognized by the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities as one of the best youth and humanities programs in the nation.
Diane Louie conducts orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony, the Detroit Symphony and the Royal Philharmonic. She has written songs and special material for the Academy Awards, Emmys, Grammys, Image Awards, Miss America, HBO’s Happily Ever After, Fame and Friends.
