The first-ever Grammy-nominated video game score was composed by Austin Wintory @a.wintory. The soundtrack ‘Journey’ holds a special place in history as it was the first video game soundtrack ever to be nominated for a Grammy Award, specifically nominated for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
Austin’s large scoring portfolio includes The Banner Saga, ABZÛ, and the chamber music of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Throughout the years, Austin Wintory has scored around 50 feature films, with his first major film score for Captain Abu Raed being shortlisted for the Academy Awards for Best Original Score.
Beyond composing, Austin is passionate about education, and is a regular public speaker at schools and events and different workshops around the world and serving on the Board of Directors for Education Through Music – Los Angeles.
Our final Orchestral Course ‘Carte Blanche’ from 17th to 26th of September titled VIDEO GAMES, led by Austin Wintory, will be the culmination of our 2024 Seminar Program.
The concert finale will be performed on 25th of September at Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade.
